Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport/JRO or Arusha Airport/ARK), you will be met by your personal driver guide or representative. You will proceed to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay, waiting for your adventures to start on the following day.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Tarangire, Tanzania's third-largest national park and a sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to 6 thousand elephants. Enjoy a game drive with a picnic lunch. After another game drive, you will head to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest unbroken calderas on the planet with over 25,000 wild creatures in the caldera. There are more prides per capita than anywhere on earth. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five, lion, leopard, black rhinos, elephant, and buffalo. It is one of the world’s most astonishing places and among the 8th wonders of the world, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers mountain forests, woodlands, grasslands, lakes, swamps, and two major rivers. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, which marks the end of your adventures with us.
